Our team is looking for a full-time seasonal experienced Tack Truck Driver (Asphalt Distributor Truck) in our Edmonton, AB location. Here’s what you can expect when working with us:

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an asphalt distributor (tack) truck on public roads and construction sites.
- Apply tack coat at the correct application rates and coverage as directed by the paving foreman.
- Perform routine maintenance, including checking fluid levels, cleaning spray bars, nozzles, and equipment.
- Monitor temperatures, pressures, and spray systems to ensure proper operation.
- Coordinate with paving crews to maintain efficient production.
- Follow traffic control procedures and safely maneuver equipment in active work zones.
- Complete required documentation, including daily inspections (DVIR's), E-logs and daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA).
- Report equipment defects, hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with general paving and construction duties as required.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience operating a tack truck.
- Must have H2S Alive training.
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with air brake endorsement to travel to and from the work site (as well as operate company vehicles)
- Experience working in road construction or asphalt paving is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of safe work practices around heavy equipment and active construction sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work long hours, weekends, and overtime during the construction season.
- Physically capable of climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Pre-Employment drug screening in effect.
