Children’s Program Ballet Teacher
Les Petits Ballets is seeking a warm, engaging, and reliable Children’s Program Ballet Teacher to join our team. This role focuses on introducing young dancers to movement and music in a nurturing, structured environment.
Classes include:
- Mini Movers (ages 2–3) This child’s dance class is an excellent introduction to dance, allowing pre-school children to explore movement creatively with their parents or guardian
- Creative Movement (ages 3–4) Through stories, music, and expressive games, children develop rhythm, body awareness, and a love of dance in a warm, encouraging space
- Pre-Ballet 1 & 2 (ages 4–7) Introduces young dancers to classical ballet technique in a joyful, structured setting. Focusing on basic positions, musicality and creative expressions.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, creative ballet and movement classes
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
- Support students’ early development in coordination, musicality, and classroom etiquette
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
Qualifications:
- Ballet training required; Vaganova, RAD, Cecchetti or equivalent
- Experience teaching young children
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for working with young dancers is an asset
Schedule: Part-time Saturdays, with potential for growth
Salary range: $30-$40/ hour
