Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to the creation and maintenance of beautiful outdoor spaces. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, supporting various landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Prior experience with construction, mechanical knowledge, and the use of hand and power tools are highly valued. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and aesthetic appeal of our clients’ landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting, grading, and soil preparation
- Operate equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems under supervision
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and fertilizing
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks
- Support construction activities related to landscape projects, including building retaining walls or pathways
- Maintain clean and organized work sites to ensure safety and efficiency
- Conduct routine inspections of irrigation systems and perform basic repairs or adjustments
- Assist with general gardening duties, including planting flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Support team members in mechanical maintenance of equipment and tools
Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, horticulture, or related fields is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and horticultural principles is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely
- Experience with excavators or irrigation systems is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and work effectively as part of a team
- Construction experience or familiarity with landscape installation projects is beneficial
