Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the physical ability to handle heavy lifting associated with providing grooming services.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for pets of all sizes
- Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Assess each pet’s coat condition and discuss grooming preferences with pet owners to meet their expectations
- Handle pets gently and securely to ensure their safety and comfort during grooming procedures
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently and provide excellent customer service to pet owners
- Keep grooming tools and equipment in excellent condition through proper cleaning and maintenance
- Assist with heavy lifting of pets or equipment as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury
Qualifications
- Pet Grooming Certificate and prior experience in a grooming salon
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Physical strength and stamina to perform heavy lifting of pets and grooming supplies regularly
- Compassionate attitude towards animals, with patience and gentle handling skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekends or additional hours as needed based on appointment schedules
