Are you mechanically inclined, enjoy working outdoors, and want to build a long-term career with opportunities for apprenticeship and advancement? We are looking for a motivated Water Well Driller Assistant to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, operating equipment, and working in a variety of environments. You'll work alongside experienced professionals installing, repairing, and maintaining water systems while developing valuable skills that can lead to future apprenticeship opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assisting driller with drilling water wells
- Assisting with pump repairs, and other types of water systems.
- Drive service trucks and operate equipment.
- Perform maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Carry out physical labour in outdoor environments and various weather conditions.
- Travel throughout British Columbia and Alberta, including occasional weekend work as required.
Skills
- Willingness to learn and grow with the business.
- Knowledge of water systems (beneficial).
- Valid Class 3 driver's license with Air Brakes endorsement.
- Mechanically inclined with basic equipment and vehicle maintenance skills.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel for work assignments.
Assets (Not Required)
- Previous experience with drilling rigs.
- First Aid Certification.
- Equipment operation experience.
- Construction, mechanical, plumbing, or water systems experience.
- Any related trade certifications or apprenticeship experience.
