SBI Canada Bank is currently looking for qualified individuals to fill the role of Customer Service Representative at its branch in Vancouver, British Columbia.
This position reports to the Supervisor/Asst Manager/Branch Manager and is primarily responsible for performing the following functions:
Roles & Responsibilities of CSR
- Awareness of the Policies, Guidelines & Procedures of the Bank and ensure compliance and adherence
- Work collaboratively with other team members Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions, providing information about other products and services
- Answer enquiries courteously and resolve any issue related to customer account
- Follow Complaint resolution Procedure Account Opening — Initial interaction with customer and subsequent referring of the customer to Manager NP (Accounts), Creation of CIF in Finacle and subsequent opening of account ensuring complete and error free data input
- Entry in Risk Rating Format for verification by Manager & review by Branch Head Cash Deposit/ transfer/ withdrawal as per the posting rights in Finacle and taking declaration of source of fund.
- Detecting Counterfeit currency through UV lamp.
- Scanning of voucher, Outward & Inward clearing cheques,
- Account Opening and Signature Card. Putting initial in the Register for scanning after completion of the scanning.
- Performing Bridger Scanning as per the guidelines laid down by Compliance Department.
- Process Inward Clearing cheques in Finacle as per their posting rights including preparation of list, Tallying amount, Return memo etc. for review of Supervisor/ Manager Preparing list for outward clearing instruments for review of Supervisor/ Manager Remittances — Initial scrutiny of remittance application including checking of limits, source of fund etc.
- Processing the request for drafts/ TT 's as applicable Process the request of Certified Cheque/ Official cheque At the end of the day, deposit excess cash over and above the overnight cash retention limit to the joint custodians of cash At the end of the day, deposit balance security forms to the joint custodians Arranging vouchers for daybook checking and its filing Filing of back up papers of account opening, all vouchers, remittances made e.g. Drafts/TTs/Official Cheques etc.
- Maintenance of fliers/Publicity material displaying of daily rates on PC Preparation of Large Cash Transaction Reports/ STRs for review of Managers Lodging and payment of bills & related filing.
- Attending to Telephone Calls/ Telemarketing of Banking Products Inward mail receipt / entry/distribution Outward mail/ Dispatch Processing of all the transaction received over fax after ensuring authorization from Branch head
- Processing the request for any modification/ changes in the customer account after getting approval from Manager Assisting the supervisor in renewal advising of RRSP accounts
- Generating and dispatching GIC renewal advice with GIC disclosure as advised by Supervisor
- Initiating the resending process for failed remittance as advised by Manager Preparation of T5 slips to clients for verification of Managers & Branch Head and Mailing
- Preparation of TFSA/ NR4 return for verification of Managers & Branch Head Timely completion of online training
- File and maintain records as per Bank's Record Retention Policy Follow Bank's Privacy Policy
- Assist Branch Manager/Asst Manager with any specific project.
- CSR will have to carry out the functions as required in the regular course of day-to-day banking
- Migrate Customers to Internet banking / Mobile Banking
- Complete any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Branch Manager/Asst Manager/Supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Preferable 1+ years' experience as a Customer Service Representative/ Teller or within banking environment
- Cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of MS Office and Excel
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a mind for numbers
