Responsibilities
1. Press Operation
- Produce high-quality labels in accordance with job specifications and customer standards.
- Read job orders and load label rolls into the press.
- Start and operate press, adjusting speed and stock alignment as needed to ensure proper registration.
- Set up press and run at low speed to inspect initial samples for accuracy and quality.
- Communicate job-specific updates or changes to the supervisor to minimize downtime.
- Promptly report any production or press issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate inventory usage and complete all required production paperwork.
- Perform routine maintenance on press equipment (daily, weekly, and monthly as scheduled).
2. Fulfillment (Pick & Pack)
- Accurately pick and pack label and ink orders with strong attention to detail.
- Weigh cartons, apply shipping labels, and input data into shipping software (ShipStation).
- Ensure timely and accurate shipment of all orders.
3. Warehouse Management
- Oversee inbound and outbound warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, and general equipment management.
- Place manufactured labels on designated shelves and maintain a clean, organized storage area.
- Perform regular inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Use warehouse management systems to monitor inventory levels, track orders, and manage transfers and purchase orders.
- Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness of the work area.
4. Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as required to support production, fulfillment, and warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of prior experience operating printing presses, preferably digital label presses.
- 5 years of experience working with film and paper substrates.
- Hands-on experience with circular knife setups on label printing presses is a strong asset.
- Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret rulers, scales, and other measurement tools.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently walk throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$26.00 per hour
