Lower Mainland Road Building Contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and coordinate civil and road construction projects from inception to completion. The successful applicant will possess excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills and a strong understanding of municipal construction, ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standard of quality.
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified in municpal road construction and have extensive experience with:
- Road Excavations and site preparation
- Preparation for concrete curb, gutter, sidewalks and for asphalt paving
- Knowledge of drainage, catch basins, watermain, sanitary sewer and storm sewer
- Coordinate subcontractors, equipments, quality control and safety compliance

Duties
- Lead and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation.
- Oversee quality control measures to meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety meetings on-site.
- Conduct site inspections to verify work quality and adherence to blueprints and schematics.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience as a Civil Superintendent on earthworks and underground utilities projects
- Experience with road construction projects (including grading, paving, curbs, sidewalks and related infrastructure) is preferred
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, quality control procedures, and building codes.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, construction estimating, and budgeting.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing diverse teams of construction professionals.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Must Have
- Valid Driver's License
- Legally authorized to work in Canada. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Minimum 3 years of expirence
