THE CHALLENGE
TURBINE-X Energy is seeking a Shop Lead - Air Handling Trailers to drive operational excellence in our Nisku manufacturing facility. This is a "player-coach" leadership role designed for a technical expert who excels in high-stakes, precision-heavy industrial assembly. This position blends hands-on mastery of mechanical and electrical systems, specifically pulse filters, fan/motor alignment, and grounding with the strategic oversight required to lead a technician crew.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the Build: Oversee the full assembly of complex AHT systems, including pulse filters, control room integration, duct transitions, and fan/motor alignment.
- Ensure Precision: Execute and validate sensor calibration, grounding systems, and torque requirements to ensure every unit is ready for Factory Performance Testing (FPT).
- Mentor & Manage: Provide hands-on guidance to technicians, optimizing workflows and upholding a zero-incident safety culture.
- Collaborate: Partner with Engineering, Quality, and HSE teams to resolve technical hurdles and maintain our commitment to innovation and reliability.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Experience: 7–10 years of experience in large-scale industrial assembly (ventilation or air handling preferred).
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Certification:
Mandatory:
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Safety Certification.
- Electrical Grounding & Bonding Certification or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Rigging & Signal Person Certification.
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Safety Training.
- Laser Alignment Certification.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Leadership Factor: A proactive, "get-it-done" attitude with the ability to mentor a team in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to X-Group safety policies and SOPs.
- PPE: Ability to wear required gear (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, and navigate an active industrial shop floor.
