We are seeking a Carpenter / Renovation Specialist to join our team. Full-time | Standard Work Hours: 40 hours per week | On-Call
Salary Range: $30-$35/hr (Dependent on qualifications)
Responsibilities:
The Carpenter / Renovation Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of construction and renovation tasks, including full unit renovations and capital projects.
Key duties include:
· Complete full renovations including demolition, framing, drywall, and finishing
· Perform structural work such as beam installation and modifications
· Conduct trenching and site preparation as required
· Drywall installation, taping, and occasional crack fill and painting
· Install doors, trim, kitchens, flooring, and other interior finishes
· Perform window installation, siding repairs, and exterior work
· Build and repair decks and exterior structures
· Lead and manage projects on-site, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
· Assist with project budgeting, estimating, and material planning
· Coordinate and supervise subcontractors as needed
· Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
· Track daily hours, materials, and equipment usage electronically
· Maintain clear and consistent communication with the office team
· Complete seasonal and capital expenditure (CapEx) projects as required
Qualifications / Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following:
· Skilled Carpentry Certificate or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of experience in renovations, construction, or tenant improvements
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
· Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects
· Experience managing projects and coordinating trades is considered an asset
· Comfortable using smartphones, apps, and basic computer systems
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
· A combination of education and experience will be considered
