Salary: starting at $20.00/hr plus mileage
Job Purpose
The SCCYI is looking for someone who has a desire to serve youth and families. The Supervised Visit Facilitator is hired by The Center to facilitate visits between children in care and their families. Duties include transportation of children to and from the visit location, watching and listening to interactions between the children and the other visit attendees, taking comprehensive notes during the visit time, ensuring the safety of the children, and reporting all notes to the visit coordinator. This position will be required to take detailed records that journal from an objective point of view of client-to-client interactions. Requirements for the position include a clean driving record, a regular vulnerable sector check, access to a reliable vehicle, computer and internet access for reporting and scheduling. Skills required include good communication in writing and speaking English, punctuality, dependability, flexibility and ability to remain calm in uncomfortable situations. A good candidate will understand the importance of family relationships, confidentiality, impartiality and responsibility. First aid training is an asset.

Job Description
- Willing to work in a faith-based work environment
- Working with various families both in office and in home
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for clients to and from visits. This can include pick up at home, school, or daycare situations.
- Take clear and precise notes that are objective. Record notes as a report to be submitted for each visit.
- Update client files as needed
- Work collaboratively with other Visit Facilitators
- Assist in keeping visit area clean and tidy
Knowledge and Skills
- Self-Driven, able to work collaboratively
- Works well with children, youth and families
- Able to communicate and coordinate schedules and timelines to others effectively
- Excellent observation, and communication skills, proficient in English
- Computer skills, access to a computer for report writing and email communication
- Strong understanding of confidentiality.
- Teachable attitude
Other Requirements
- Must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must provide proof of driver’s license and driver’s abstract
- Must have a dependable vehicle for transportation
- Must have completed High School or equivalent
- Provide an official Resume with references
