Our client, a leading organization in transportation and logistics, is seeking a Transportation Control Tower Specialist (Logistics Operations) to join their team. As a Transportation Control Tower Specialist (Logistics Operations), you will be part of the transportation operations department supporting network stability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Transportation Control Tower Specialist (Logistics Operations)
Location: 325 Humber College Blvd, Etobicoke
Pay Range: $28.65/hour
Shift: 11pm to 7am (Night)
What's the Job?
- Monitor and track network performance, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies or delays.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and carriers to ensure accurate and timely updates.
- Manage operational or mechanical issues by facilitating recovery plans and coordinating with vendors and local operations.
- Create, track, and manage incidents using case management tools and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate asset movements across internal and external networks to support service continuity.
What's Needed?
- College diploma or degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience in transportation or logistics operations, preferably within a control tower or dispatching environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and recommend process improvements.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with case management systems, reporting tools, and data tracking is an asset.
