Job description
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Caregiver/Home Support Worker to assist seniors and individuals needing support in the Tri-Cities area including Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody. This position will be within the local area and applicants are encouraged to have a car to commute to client homes. Applicants are invited to apply and interviews will be held end of this week.
Applicants must currently reside in Coquitlam, BC. Applications from outside the area will not be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist clients with Personal Care -ambulation, feeding, bathing and grooming.
- Home making and transfer client using mechanical lift, ceiling lift etc.
- Consult with care manager on activities, needs and problems related to client care.
- Utilize observation skills to note changes in client's condition
- Encourage participation in activity programs by assisting clients
- Provide emotional and social support to clients/families including palliative care
- Adhere to policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, and environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Health Care Aide certification (preferred)
- Driver's License -Class 5 with (Own Car)
- Long Term Care experience preferred
- Recent and clear Criminal Record Check
- Organizational skills and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Experience with clients with Dementia.
Job Types: Full- Time
Schedule : 40- 44 hours/ week
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
