The Bayview Golf & Country Club is Centrally located in the GTA. Bayview has been a treasured part of the lives of our families for nearly 60 years. Bayview dining rooms consist of three restaurants on-site:
- The Grill Room
- The Players Lounge Room
- The Cabana at the Pool - Seasonal
The position
The Part-time Dining Room Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Member dining outlets. This position involves overseeing the dining room staff, maintaining high levels of member satisfaction, and ensuring that all aspects of the dining experience meet or exceed established standards. The position reports to the F&B Manager and the Clubhouse Manager.
Duties
- Oversee the front-of-house team to deliver a consistent and elevated Member experience across formal dining outlets
- Maintain and enforce service standards to ensure consistency across all shifts, team members, and dining outlets
- Maintain a strong and visible presence on the floor, setting the tone for service, energy, and professionalism
- Train, coach, and support team members to uphold service standards and expectations
- Ensure consistency in all aspects of service, including timing, presentation, and guest interaction
- Proactively manage service flow and staffing levels based on business needs
- Step in to support service where required to ensure smooth and seamless operations
- Handle Member feedback and concerns with professionalism, urgency, and care
- Ensure accuracy of Member chits and proper use of the JONAS POS system
- Monitor daily sales, labour, and service trends, and share insights to support operational decisions
- Ensure accuracy in sales reporting, staff hours, and POS activity through the JONAS system
- Reinforce a culture of accountability, teamwork, and attention to detail
- Provide ongoing feedback to the F&B leadership team on performance and opportunities
- Participate in weekly operations meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Supervision Received
- Reports to and receives functional direction from the F&B Manager.

Minimum qualifications
- 1 + years' supervisory experience required
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the hospitality sector
- Valid Smart Serve certification
- Direct experience in a customer facing role and/or hospitality experience is required
- Experience with Point of Sales Software is required
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs. and bend, lift, and stand for extended periods

- Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulation and follow in accordance to the Club’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
Hours of work
- Varying work schedule to include mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business required
