Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Window/Door Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows and doors in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and proficiency with various tools and construction techniques. Duties
- Measure and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation of windows and doors.
- Remove old or damaged windows and doors using hand tools and demolition techniques.
- Install new windows and doors securely, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and sealing.
- Apply caulking and weatherproofing materials to prevent leaks and improve insulation.
- Read and interpret schematics related to window and door systems for proper assembly and installation.
- Perform restoration work as needed, including painting, sealing, or minor repairs.
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, plumbing, or construction painting to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols throughout all phases of installation.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as drills, saws, levels, and hammers.
- Strong background in construction, carpentry, or related trades.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing and sealing installations.
- Experience with restoration projects or construction painting is a plus.
- Familiarity with plumbing or welding can be advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Skills in flooring installation or tile laying are beneficial for certain projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different project requirements.
