Altitude Athletic Training is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach for our state-of-the-art Intermittent Hypoxic Training (IHT) facility in Toronto. Coaches are expected to have a detailed understanding of exercise prescription, exercise physiology, program design, fitness assessments, and implementation of one-on-one coaching sessions.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of strength and conditioning, working with a diverse range of individuals and athletes including those from the general population, clinical settings, endurance sports, and speed/power-based disciplines. Coaches will be required to interpret data on health, fitness, and performance assessments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex physiology and the benefits of IHT to prospective clients, converting prospects to long-term members.

Key Responsibilities
Consultations, Coaching & Personal Training
- Provide orientations and consultations (virtual and in-person) to prospective clients
- Build and implement individualized programs for health, wellness, performance, and event-specific goals
- Run consultations with clients to evaluate progress and make program modifications as necessary
- Provide technique coaching and educate clients on exercise
- Develop strong, ongoing relationships with members and nurture/follow up with prospective clients
- Coach clients through one-on-one training sessions, strength & conditioning sessions, and small group training sessions
Exercise Assessments
- Administer fitness assessments including VO2 Max (Direct Measure), Mobility, Resting Metabolic Rate, InBody Body Composition, Force Plate testing, and more
- Select appropriate testing procedures based on client’s goals and training age
- Collect and interpret client assessment data from tests
- Communicate assessment results and conclusions in an accessible way to clients
- Implement test results in client programs where appropriate
Gym Floor Supervision
- Provide technique coaching and support for clients executing self-led training programs
- Assist clients with Technogym equipment setup, using wearables (HR monitors and SPO2 sensors), and the Technogym training app
- Ensure the safety of all members in general areas
- Ensure the gym space is clean and organized
- Perform regular checks to ensure fitness equipment is in good working order
Continuing Education
- Stay up to date with current exercise and hypoxic research to improve programming and product delivery

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
