Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Yard Person / Parts Puller to join our team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations through efficient parts retrieval, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will possess warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of equipment. Duties
- Pulling and preparing parts for shipment or internal use based on order requests
- Loading and unloading materials using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Assisting with order picking and ensuring correct items are selected for each order
- Supporting shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintaining a clean and organized yard area for safety and efficiency
- Assisting with construction or maintenance projects as needed, utilizing relevant skills and equipment
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols during all operations involving heavy lifting or equipment use
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse distribution or warehouse experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or background in construction is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures is beneficial
- Construction experience or familiarity with heavy equipment operation is desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
This position offers a vital role within our operations team, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and accuracy in handling parts and materials across the yard.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
