Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Building and Leasing Manager to oversee property operations, lease management, and tenant relations. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of our student residence, maintaining high tenant satisfaction, and optimizing leasing opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, experience in property management, and excellent customer service abilities to foster positive relationships with tenants and prospects alike.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of student residence, including maintenance coordination and vendor relations
- Oversee leasing activities, including marketing available units, conducting property tours, and negotiating lease agreements
- Ensure property is rented to fullest capacity
- Managing changeover seasons in April, August and December
- Utilize Buildium property management software to track leases, rent payments, and tenant information
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records of leases and tenant correspondence
- Respond promptly to tenant inquiries via phone or email with professional phone etiquette and customer service excellence
- Conduct regular inspections of property to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance needs
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants through various channels
- Maintain positive relationships with tenants to promote retention and address concerns proactively
- Coordinate with maintenance supervisor using Buildium to schedule repairs and upkeep activities
- Hire and manage student staff
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or leasing roles
- Strong knowledge of Buildium or comparable property management software
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping
- Effective negotiation skills for lease agreements and resolving tenant issues
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in sales or customer relationship management is a plus
- Familiarity with office procedures such as filing, data entry, and general administrative tasks
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
