Farmers Market Salesperson
Job Outline:
- Thursdays 12:30pm - 8:30pm
- Saturdays 6:30am - 3:30pm
- Sunday 6:30am – 3:30pm
Basic candidate requirements:
- Valid BC Drivers License
- Foodsafe certification
- Physically fit: able to lift at least 50lbs (tent, table, generator, full coolers) and work on your feet
- Self motivated and able to work independently
- Working outdoors for majority of the shift
- Sales and customer service experience
- Interest in local and sustainable food
B.C’s premier artisan cheese company, Golden Ears Cheesecrafters, is now hiring a Farmers Market Vendor for regional Farmers Markets.
Golden Ears Cheesecrafters is a family owned company in Maple Ridge, BC. We believe handcrafting the highest quality cheese starts with sourcing the highest quality milk.
We are looking for individuals with positive attitudes that are looking for a job to match. Sales and customer service experience is desired, however, we are willing to teach the right candidate.
Selling cheese as a Farmers Market Vendor is a fun and rewarding job. You will be working independently at outdoor Farmers Markets throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley selling artisan cheese. Farmers Markets can be fast paced environments requiring simultaneous cash handling, customer service, food safety and knowledge about the products you are selling.
