We are seeking a Site Superintendent at our client site at Syncrude Mildred Lake!
The Opportunity:
This is a permanent role working at our client site, Syncrude Mildred Lake, in Fort McMurray, AB.
The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Superintendent is responsible for directing the day-to-day site operations.
Accountabilities:

Assume responsibility for ensuring the effective on-site management of company operations.

Supervise daily operational activities for assigned work areas.
-
Ensure work activities are performed in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.

Coordinate work as required.
-
Ensure all required paperwork including but not limited to; time sheets, FLRA’s, work orders,
-
maintenance requests, employee change forms are completed and submitted in a timely manner
-
with any required company and or client signatures.

Represent the company as a liaison to help resolve any customer, employee, or contractor
-
concerns in a professional manner.

Ensure all site rules are communicated to employees and adhered to at all times.

Support field operations in all aspects including cost controls, planning, scheduling, and
-
estimating.

Become thoroughly knowledgeable with the project's specifications and scope of work.

Assist in the development of work opportunities.

Review and integrate technological opportunities.

Provide leadership in safety and quality performance and ensure due diligence in client and
-
regulatory compliance.

Report to Operations Manager all divisional concerns, issues, and performance of the project.

Contribute to the training and mentorship program for all new hire.

Performance manages direct reports.
-
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and as required by the needs of the business.

All other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Competencies:
-
Class five (5) Drivers Licence required.
-
Satisfactory 5-year Drivers Abstract.

Ability to access all client sites as required.
-
Previous 5-7 years of experience required
-
Able to work in all weather and working site conditions.
-
Physically able to complete the duties of the position.
-
Successfully complete pre-employment testing: drug & alcohol, physical abilities and other applicable testing.
-
Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification or equivalent.
Schedule:
-
The schedule is 7 days on, followed by 7 days off, working 10-hour days, Subject to change
