Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support medication reminders
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to foster emotional well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, respecting dietary restrictions and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks ensuring a safe clean environment
- Monitor clients health status, report changes or concerns to management
- Assist with mobility aids and transfer techniques to prevent falls and injuries
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Health Care Aide or a PSW in a similar caregiving role
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate caregiving with patience and respect
- Familiarity with cleaning routines, meal preparation, and home care tasks is beneficial
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are essential
