NexGen Homes was founded to build sustainable, affordable, and custom homes for a wide range of clientele in southern Ontario. We have extensive and highly reviewed experience in custom framing, interior and exterior finishing and general contracting.
Job Description
You will work with the team to produce outcomes that ensure high client satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication. We are looking for candidates with excellent time management skills and will be responsible for tracking the progress and any needs of the projects and reporting to the Project Manager. You will learn to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans and build stronger construction techniques through mentorship.
Skills
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Framing for houses, decks etc.
- Drywall
- Exterior finishes
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience as a carpenter
- Ability to manage work independently
- Basic understanding of construction tools
- Ability to read and understand imperial measurements
- Access to a vehicle to get to jobsites and transport tools (as needed)
- Valid G2 or G driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00-$30.00 per hour
