Job Summary
Wellington Foundry is a Canadian manufacturer of premium outdoor site furnishings, supplying communities across North America with durable, high‑quality products. We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Shop Foreman to lead daily operations across our production floor, including welding, fabrication, powder coating, CNC machining, and foundry processes.
This role is ideal for a working leader who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and brings both technical expertise and strong supervisory capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support production staff across welding, fabrication, powder coating, CNC, and foundry departments
- Provide hands‑on support in welding, fabrication, and general production tasks as required
- Coordinate daily workflow, assign tasks, and ensure production targets are met
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to maintain high standards of quality and safety
- Oversee equipment use, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, company safety policies, and quality control standards
- Collaborate with management on scheduling, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor inventory of materials and consumables; communicate needs proactively
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or foreman‑level experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong hands‑on background in Aluminum welding and fabrication (MIG required; TIG an asset)
- Experience in one or more of the following is a strong asset:
- Powder coating
- Foundry operations
- CNC machinery (routing, machining, or similar)
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a production team
- Strong understanding of workplace safety, equipment operation, and quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, production documents, and work orders
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced shop
Pay: $36.00-$44.00 per hour
