Job Summary
mim early learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Education (ECE) Infant Toddler Teacher to join our team. This role involves nurturing and supporting the developmental needs of infants and toddlers, creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for early childhood education. Bilingual abilities in English and another languages are highly valued to support diverse families and enhance language development in young children. At mim early learning we believe in building strong relationships with children, families, and educators. We are looking for an enthusiastic Infants Toddler Educator who values responsive caregiving, play based learning, and creating meaningful experiences for children aged 0-36 months.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of infants and toddlers
- Foster a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members regarding developmental progress and daily activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's growth, behaviors, and milestones
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the classroom at all times
- Use computer skills to maintain records, prepare reports, and communicate with families electronically
Qualifications
- Valid BC ECE Infant Toddler Certification
- Valid First Aid Certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Strong Communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work Mon- Fri opening and closing shifts
- Minimum 3 Years of experience working with Infants and Toddlers (0-36) preferred.
- Experience working with children in early childhood settings; classroom experience preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and time management skills in a dynamic environment
- Excellent writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Computer operation skills for record keeping and communication tools
- Childcare certification or relevant early childhood education credentials preferred
