Pharmacy Assistant
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in providing exceptional patient care and supporting daily pharmacy operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Management Software is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional customer service in person and over the phone.
- Greet patients and verify demographic, insurance, and prescription information.
- Enter prescription and patient information accurately into Kroll.
- Assist with prescription filling under the pharmacist's supervision.
- Prepare and maintain compliance packs (blister packs) for community patients and other care facilities ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Scan and maintain pharmacy records and documentation.
- Coordinate prescription deliveries and communicate with patients as needed.
- Receive, unpack, and organize medication and supply orders.
- Assist with ordering inventory and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Monitor medication expiry dates and remove expired products according to pharmacy procedures.
- Restock shelves and maintain a clean, organized pharmacy.
- Assist with general housekeeping to ensure a safe and professional work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the pharmacy team.
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
