D+A Wellness Centre is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Registered Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based nutrition services, develop individualized care plans, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to support patients in achieving their health and wellness goals.
Work Arrangement: This position is primarily virtual; however, the successful candidate must be available to provide occasional in-person appointments at D+A Wellness Centre when requested by patients.
Key Responsibilities
The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive nutrition and dietetic assessments for patients of varying ages and health conditions.
- Developing individualized nutrition care plans and personalized meal plans based on patient needs, goals, medical history, and lifestyle factors.
- Delivering one-on-one dietary counselling and nutrition coaching using evidence-based practices.
- Conducting nutrition education sessions and workshops for patients and community groups as required.
- Collaborating with other healthcare practitioners within the clinic to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as clinically indicated.
- Maintaining accurate, detailed, and timely patient records and documentation in accordance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and clinic policies.
- Participating in case discussions and interdisciplinary care planning when appropriate.
- Contributing to the development of educational materials and clinic resources related to nutrition and healthy living.
- Participating in ongoing professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be registered and in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO).
- Maintain valid professional liability insurance as required by the CDO.
- Possess strong assessment, counselling, and communication skills.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management abilities.
- Be comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team environment.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all applicable privacy legislation and professional standards.
- Be legally eligible to work in Ontario.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a private practice or multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
- Experience providing counselling for weight management, chronic disease management, sports nutrition, digestive health, or general wellness.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Experience delivering virtual nutrition consultations.
