Gaulin Roofing is looking for a dependable, hardworking Roofing Labourer to join our team.
Whether you have roofing experience or are looking to learn a skilled trade, we're willing to train the right person. We value reliability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic over experience alone.
This is a physically demanding job that involves working outdoors, lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and assisting with residential roofing projects. If you enjoy working with your hands, staying active, and being part of a team, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Assist with residential roofing projects from start to finish.
- Load and unload roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
- Carry shingles and other materials safely around job sites.
- Set up and take down ladders, tarps, and safety equipment.
- Assist roof installers with various tasks throughout the day.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site.
- Complete ground cleanup using magnetic sweepers and other equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Work efficiently with the crew to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- Reliable and punctual.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs or more repeatedly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are considered an asset.
- Previous roofing or construction experience is an asset but not required.
Pay & Advancement
Starting wage is $20.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Raises are based on performance, reliability, work ethic, attitude, and willingness to learn—not simply time on the job. Employees who consistently demonstrate these qualities have opportunities for wage increases and advancement within the company.
Probationary Period: All new hires begin at the starting wage during their probationary period. At the end of the probationary period, a performance review will be conducted. Employees who demonstrate reliability, quality workmanship, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude may be eligible for a wage increase based on their performance.
