We are a growing Canadian accounting firm specializing in bookkeeping, GST/HST, corporate tax preparation, and financial clean-up projects. We work with Canadian small businesses, including automotive dealerships, construction companies, e-commerce businesses, and professional corporations.
We are looking for a smart, detail-oriented AI Accounting Analyst who can leverage technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Download and organize client documents
- Review bank and credit card transactions
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Match transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Analyze sales and expense reports
- Identify unusual transactions and discrepancies
- Prepare working papers for senior accountants
- Use ChatGPT and AI tools to assist with data analysis
- Maintain accurate and organized client files
Requirements
Mandatory:
✓ Strong Excel skills
✓ Experience with Pivot Tables
✓ Experience with VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
✓ Ability to use ChatGPT effectively
✓ Good written English
✓ Strong attention to detail
✓ Reliable internet connection
Preferred:
✓ QuickBooks Online experience
✓ Power Query experience
✓ Accounting or bookkeeping background
✓ Experience with Canadian or US clients
Important
This position is not a data-entry role.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Investigate discrepancies
- Learn new systems quickly
- Use AI tools to improve productivity
Sample Tasks During Interview
1. Identify duplicate transactions in a bank statement.
2. Match transactions between QBO and bank records.
3. Use ChatGPT to analyze accounting data.
4. Create an Excel Pivot Table summary.
5. Find reconciliation issues and explain findings.
