Job Summary
CHARCUT University District is seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, expertly mixing drinks, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. As a vital part of our team, the Bartender will ensure that every guest has a memorable experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with legal regulations.
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours.
- Uphold food safety standards when handling food and beverages, ensuring proper storage and sanitation practices.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to serve multiple guests efficiently during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, especially in bartending or beverage service roles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and order processing.
- Experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates interested in developing their skills further.
