Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and pharmacy regulations including OAT medications
- Provide medication counseling and education to patients, ensuring understanding of proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Review patient medication profiles for appropriateness, potential drug interactions, and allergies
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans and provide minor ailments services
- Maintain accurate documentation of prescriptions, patient records, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and safety standards
- Assist in managing medication inventory, including ordering, storage, and expiration tracking
- Participate in patient care activities such as immunization administration and support when applicable
Skills
- Proven experience as a Pharmacist with current licensure in Ontario
- Community experience or retail experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with OAT medications and patient care considerations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate approach with a focus on patient safety and quality care
- Ability to adapt to evolving healthcare protocols and technology systems

Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
