Position Summary:
- Provide support for patients followed in Psychosis Spectrum Disorder Program
- Provide depot injections and education to patients followed in the Medication Clinic
- Support patients being followed in the Clozapine Clinic including blood draws and collection
- Health teaching with patients
- Education and support for families/significant others
Consult with inter-professional team and community agencies to maintain coordination in the patient’s treatment process

Key Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and in good standing
- Graduate of a recognized College or School of Nursing, with Baccalaureate degree preferred
- CNA certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing preferred
- Minimum 3 years Mental Health experience
- Expertise and experience in giving depot injections
- Knowledge of relevant medications and side effects
- Knowledge and experience related to concurrent disorders preferred
- Solid mental health experience re: adult patients with complex psychiatric disorders
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to interact with patients and their families in an empathetic manner
- Ability to support a model of recovery is essential
- Must possess excellent organizational, time management and critical thinking skills
- Sound working knowledge of legislation related to mental health care and treatment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of an inter-professional team
- Excellent assessment and documentation skills
