Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including building, installing, and restoring structures. The Carpenter will be responsible for interpreting construction drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions , ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble structures such as, floors, walls, roofs, and decks using wood and other materials.
- Install siding, flooring, and other materials according to each manufacturer's specifications.
- Restore and repair existing structures to maintain their integrity and appearance.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required during the construction process and endure prolonged periods if standing or moving, or while working at heights.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to deliver high quality workmanship.
- Tools, building materials to be tidied and clean, to be put away in their appropriate places, along with a swept and clean site to ensure an efficient start of each work day.
- The duties and requirements will change from site to site and flexibility in duties will be required to ensure all aspects of the project get completed.
- Proficiency in building, plumb installation, siding application, flooring installation, and restoration techniques.
- Ability to read construction drawings effectively.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or moving.
- Working at heights.
- A strong commitment to the success of completing every project to its full potential, and delivering the high quality product to our clients.
- Ensuring the companies values and policy are met and enforced.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Have knowledge of basic framing procedures as per the OBC.
