Summary of Position
An Assistant Property Manager who is organized and customer-focused is needed to help with the daily operations of a portfolio of residential and commercial assets. While helping with tenant relations, administrative responsibilities, and maintenance coordination, this role acts as the main point of contact for tenants by offering customer care.
The perfect applicant is a superb communicator who relishes helping others, fixing problems, and fostering positive tenant ties. Experience in property management is preferred, but not essential, since thorough on-the-job training will be offered.
Customer Service & Tenant Relations
- Act as the main point of contact for occupants, addressing their concerns, questions, and demands for service.
- Offer details about building rules, community services, and apartment facilities.
- Address renter problems and worries courteously, professionally, and on schedule.
Coordination of Maintenance and Operations
- Accept, screen, and prioritize maintenance and repair requests, work with the building manager.
- Set up meetings and cooperate with outside businesses and maintenance personnel to coordinate work orders.
- Make sure that maintenance concerns are fixed properly by checking in.
- Negotiate, manage, and supervise service agreements with contractors and suppliers.
- As needed, issue notice for property entry and inspections.
Administration and Compliance
- Work with internal legal teams and management on landlord and tenant concerns.
- Help with paperwork that has to do with landlord and tenant board hearings.
- Make sure that housing legislation and other government rules are followed.
- Ensure that tenant records, files, and correspondence are kept correctly.
Emergency Response (Optional/Additional Compensation)
- Attend to and manage off-hour emergency calls, such as: fire emergency situations, leaks or water damage, heating issues, power interruptions, elevator malfunctions, and any additional building-related problems that are pressing
- Collaborate with the right management, emergency services, and contractors to handle emergencies.
Coordination of Maintenance and Operations (Optional / Extra Compensation)
- Perform site tours and property inspections to confirm that repair and maintenance work is completed to a high standard.
- Confirm that contractors and tradesmen adhere to property standards, timelines, and scopes of work that have been agreed upon.
- Documentation locate deficiencies in the finished job, and if necessary, organize remedial measures.
Needed Skills/Qualifications
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and writing communication abilities.
- Professional attitude and a focus on providing excellent customer care.
- Successful problem-solving, conflict resolution, and mediation skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- The capacity to prioritize tasks and juggle several duties.
- General computer applications and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Qualifications that are preferred
- Prior experience in property management, leasing, customer service, hospitality, or a similar field is preferred.
- Understanding residential tenancy laws is advantageous.
- Native English language skills are essential.
- Strong language skills, particularly spoken fluency in Cantonese Chinese or Mandarin Chinese is an asset

Optional Responsibilities and Work Location
- This position may be performed remotely, in a hybrid arrangement, or on-site as operational needs require.
- Some tasks, such as on-call duties and on-site property visits, are not mandatory and may be assigned based on a candidate's availability, credentials, and interest.
- Additional compensation offered to applicants who are available for scheduled on-site responsibilities or on-call emergency coverage.
Pay: $41,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
