Interlock & Hardscape Installer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interlock & Hardscape Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing interlocking pavers, stonework, and other hardscape elements to create durable and visually appealing outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to high-quality landscape and hardscape installations.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation of interlock and hardscape features
- Prepare site by excavating, grading, and setting forms for concrete or stonework
- Install interlocking pavers, bricks, natural stone, retaining walls, and other hardscape elements with precision
- Operate heavy equipment such as compactors, skid steers, or mini excavators as needed for site preparation
- Use hand tools (trowels, chisels, levels) and power tools (drills, saws) to cut, shape, and secure materials
- Perform concrete forming and finishing for patios, walkways, or retaining walls
- Apply caulking or sealing products to ensure durability of installations
- Coordinate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining safety standards
- Assist in restoration work or other masonry tasks as required
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, masonry, or landscape installation preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction projects
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, and masonry work
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction estimating and project planning is advantageous
- Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or welding are beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license required for site travel; experience with equipment operation preferred
