About the role
ScalePad builds SaaS tools that managed service providers depend on to run their businesses. ControlMap equips MSPs with the structure, automation, and evidence trails they need to meet frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC, and NIST CSF and to position compliance as a competitive advantage for their clients.
You’ll partner closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to support new customer acquisition, expansion, and strategic partner conversations. Success here comes from deep product command, strong discovery instincts, the ability to translate complex risk and compliance concepts into clear and compelling value, and the judgment to know when to act independently and when to escalate.
What you'll own
- Partner with Sales on qualified opportunities requiring technical complexity or compliance depth, acting as a trusted advisor across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead discovery to understand partner goals, compliance maturity, technical environment, and success criteria, mapping workflows and requirements to identify risks and fit early.
- Deliver tailored ControlMap demos that connect product capabilities to real partner workflows, business value, and operational outcomes, including support for proof-of-concept motions on strategic opportunities.
- Handle technical questions and objections related to ControlMap, trust center use cases, audit readiness, and compliance workflows with confidence and clarity.
- Maintain working knowledge of ScalePad’s full product suite, including Lifecycle Manager, helping partners understand how workflows connect across products.
- Support strategic onboarding for high-value partners, ensuring a smooth transition from presales to implementation and helping partners realize value quickly from ControlMap.
- Serve as backup facilitator for group workshops and partner-facing training sessions as required, stepping in to lead or co-deliver enablement experiences alongside the Adoption Services team.
- Support the account management team through value realization conversations, helping identify adoption blockers and partner fit concerns.
- Document repeatable discovery, demo, and workflow patterns and collaborate with Enablement, Product, and Sales to improve technical messaging and partner-facing materials.
- Capture structured presales feedback to help shape product direction, positioning, and go-to-market execution, and represent ScalePad credibly in partner conversations and industry events.
What we're looking for
Must haves
- 2+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, presales, consulting, or technical advisory roles in SaaS, cybersecurity, compliance, or the MSP industry.
- Strong experience leading discovery, delivering tailored demos, and connecting technical capabilities to meaningful business outcomes for customers and partners.
- Ability to communicate confidently with technical experts, business stakeholders, and executive buyers.
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Success teams in fast-moving environments.
- Familiarity with compliance and security concepts such as controls, evidence collection, audits, trust centers, and readiness programs.
- Experience with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC, NIST CSF, or similar is strongly preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Zendesk, Gainsight, and modern demo or enablement platforms.
- Experience in the MSP space or working with channel-based sales motions.
- A track record of improving SE processes, building repeatable assets, improving demo quality, or contributing to go-to-market playbooks.
