Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The Server will play a key role in maintaining guest satisfaction and supporting overall restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times in accordance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high-quality service
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items and specials to guests
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including table setups and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred; hospitality or food industry background is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables during peak hours
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills for effective guest interaction and teamwork
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed; prior restaurant experience is advantageous
