Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team on a part-time basis, working daytime shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care across various settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Duties
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, including medication management and phlebotomy procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess health status regularly
- Assist with activities of daily living and provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health records systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Manage cases involving dementia, hospice, senior care, pediatrics, or acute medical needs
- Support patients in various settings including assisted living facilities, hospitals, or home care environments
- Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the appropriate licensing body
- Prior experience in nursing home, hospital, or acute care settings preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient safety protocols
- Experience working with diverse populations such as seniors, children, or hospice patients is advantageous
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems like Epic or Cerner is desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism
- Certification or experience in phlebotomy, pain management, case management, or laboratory procedures is a plus
