Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing theft or damage, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive security measures are essential. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to observe activity and respond to incidents promptly
- Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and addressing suspicious behaviors
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations
- Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, or security breaches, following established protocols
- Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries in a professional manner
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to ensure safety
Skills
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of surveillance systems and CCTV operation
- Experience or background in law enforcement, security, or loss prevention is advantageous
- Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and emergency responders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining vigilance at all times
Pay: $17.20-$26.84 per hour
