Registered Practical Nurse /IPAC/Nursing Team Assistant/BSO
Unit/Department: Small Long Term Care Facility
Reports To: Director of Care (DOC).
Hours : Guaranteed full time hours and/or on as needed basis, all shifts, including 8 or 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. You may be required to work with Covid-19 positive individuals.
Status : Full Time hours Bi weekly
Salary: $30.00
As a Morriston Park Registered Practical Nurse- Your goal in this position is to provide excellent patient and family driven care, in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner. You will do this by collaborating with your interdisciplinary team of care providers, with an emphasis on the IPAC element of LTC, staff education, Various tasks concerning nursing team support and BSO (Behavioral Supports Ontario) . You will take on the shared responsibility for ensuring that health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- BSO Education (an asset)
- Preferred: IPAC training
