Part-time position
3 days in Scarborough (flexible for more shifts upon discussion).
Pharmacy is located within a medical building.
No methadone.
No weekends and holidays.
Tentative start date: First week of July.
Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with physicians' orders and legal requirements
- Provide comprehensive patient care by offering medication counseling and answering questions about drug interactions, side effects, and proper usage
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and review patient treatment plans
- Maintain detailed records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Monitor patient responses to medications and report adverse reactions or concerns to the medical team
- Ensure the pharmacy complies with all safety standards, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal of medications
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Pharmacist license registered with OCP
- Minor Ailment Prescribing and conducting Medication reviews
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare laws and regulations
Skills
- Fillware experience a must (Minimum 1 year)
- Canadian community pharmacy experience a must (Minimum 1 year)
- Injection Certified a must
- Microsoft Excel proficiency an asset
- Blister pack and batch billing an asset
As the regular part-time pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and effective pharmaceutical care to patients. Your expertise in mediation therapy management and patient counselling will contribute to positive health outcomes.
