Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Providers to support individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role involves providing personalized care in retirement living settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and experience working with seniors. As a Care Provider, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by offering respectful, attentive, and professional care.
Duties
- Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and protocols
- Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques to ensure safety
- Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to supervising healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a caring environment
- Follow all safety guidelines and care procedures to ensure client safety at all times
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of senior care and dementia care
- Ability to administer medications safely and accurately
- Strong caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Capable of performing light cleaning according to IPAC protocol
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a compassionate manner
- Flexibility to adapt to different care needs and environments
- Valid certification or training in caregiving or related fields is a plus but not required
