Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales transactions
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and security
- Provide product information and perform product demos when needed
- Upsell merchandise and promote store promotions to enhance sales
- Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is properly displayed
- Manage returns, exchanges, and refunds following store policies
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Assist with merchandising tasks to enhance product visibility
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient store operations
Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Ability to perform product demos and upselling techniques
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customers effectively
- Knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, and technical sales is advantageous
