What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Millwright Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, modification, and maintenance of critical plant equipment and facilities. This role ensures compliance with all Plant Safety and Product Safety Programs and proactively supports continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Work Location: 100% On-Site - 40 Centennial Rd, Orangeville, ON L9W 3T3
Vacancy Status: This is a new role. We are actively seeking to fill this position immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute advanced troubleshooting to diagnose and repair equipment irregularities and malfunctions.
- Install, assemble, and maintain complex machinery and mechanical systems.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components efficiently.
- Perform comprehensive routine and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders.
- Ensure tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
- Trade Certification: Valid Millwright license required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of maintenance experiencein a food manufacturing environment.
- Education: College degree, trade school, or advanced training in a related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair packaging and processing equipment.
- Work Ethic: Strong commitment to safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Physical Demands: Comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 25lbs, working on a production floor, and operating in various temperatures/environments.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as operational demands require.
