We are looking for multiple Water Treatment Plant Operators for various locations in Nunavut. The opportunities include accommodation, meals and travel expenses. 10 hour days. Rotations are 4 weeks on-site/ 4 weeks off.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating, inspecting, and repairing water treatment facilities and infrastructure
- Collecting water samples and performing laboratory analysis for quality
- Process monitoring, evaluation, and control
- Residuals management
- Equipment isolations and shutdowns
- Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Controls (QC) testing
- Completing daily work permits and safe work plans
- Gathering operational data for required monthly regulatory and internal reporting.
- Generating and analyzing operational, safety, and financial reports (monthly, annual, or as required)
- Troubleshooting operational issues and developing practical solutions
- Developing, reviewing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Water Treatment Certification (Level II, Level III and Level IV) in any Canadian jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in water treatment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated focus on achieving results, paired with a strong commitment to quality service and excellence.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proven commitment to safety, with the ability to take an active role in completing assigned tasks and to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid Driver's License.
Compensation:
- Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Ranging from $70/hr to $110/hr.
Pay: $70.00-$110.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
