We currently have a position available for a Class 1 City P&D Driver in our Grande Prairie location.
Willy’s Trucking offers daily and weekly LTL freight services in Alberta and Northern B.C. We build relationships with businesses that have LTL freight requirements and specialize in mid/last mile delivery. We operate out of Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Peace River and Fort St. John.
Responsibilities:
- Operate/drive delivery vans in and around Edmonton.
- Load and deliver freight effectively and efficiently.
- Handle all shipments in a timely manner.
- Verify manifests and report any errors.
- Review and inspect packages. Report damages to the dock supervisor.
- Drive in a professional manner, following the rules and regulations of the road.
- Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Have a positive attitude, be willing to learn and able to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Have excellent time management and organization skills.
- Be able to work independently and take direction as needed.
Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to those who have delivery experience
- Must have a minimum Class 1 license
- Advanced knowledge of the city
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must have excellent problem solving skills and attention to details
- Must be able to lift up to 50Ibs
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check
- Must have deck/warehouse experience.
