We are seeking a Senior Dynatrace Consultant / Observability Engineer to lead the adoption, optimization, and expansion of our Dynatrace platform across the enterprise. The successful candidate will assess the current implementation, develop an observability roadmap, establish monitoring standards, and partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, application, and operations teams to maximize the value of the organization's investment in Dynatrace.
This role requires a highly experienced hands-on resource capable of designing and implementing enterprise observability solutions while mentoring internal teams and establishing sustainable monitoring practices. The consultant will serve as the organization's subject matter expert for Dynatrace and application performance monitoring.
- Assess the current Dynatrace implementation and develop a roadmap to mature enterprise observability capabilities.

Lead the onboarding of applications, infrastructure, cloud services, databases, and critical business systems into Dynatrace.

Design and implement enterprise monitoring standards, governance processes, and best practices.

Configure and optimize Dynatrace capabilities including OneAgent, ActiveGate, Distributed Tracing, Real User Monitoring (RUM), Synthetic Monitoring, Infrastructure Monitoring, and Davis AI.

Establish monitoring strategies aligned with business-critical services, operational requirements, and service-level objectives.

Develop dashboards, executive reporting, service health views, management zones, and alerting frameworks.

Work closely with application owners, developers, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, and operations staff to identify monitoring gaps and improve service visibility.

Lead root cause analysis activities and provide recommendations to improve system performance, reliability, and availability.

Define and implement proactive monitoring, incident detection, and operational intelligence practices.

Integrate Dynatrace with enterprise tools including ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Jira, Splunk, and cloud platforms.

Create onboarding procedures, technical standards, operational documentation, and knowledge transfer materials.

Mentor internal teams and build organizational capability in observability and performance monitoring.

Provide strategic recommendations for future-state monitoring, automation, and observability initiatives.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise monitoring, application performance management, observability, or site reliability engineering.

5+ years of hands-on Dynatrace implementation and administration experience.

Proven experience leading enterprise-wide Dynatrace adoption and observability initiatives.

Strong expertise in Dynatrace OneAgent, ActiveGate, Smartscape, Distributed Tracing, Davis AI, Real User Monitoring, Synthetic Monitoring, and Infrastructure Monitoring.

Experience designing monitoring strategies for complex hybrid environments including on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms.

Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, networking, databases, APIs, web applications, and cloud technologies.

Experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, containers, and modern application architectures.

Experience integrating Dynatrace with ITSM, DevOps, and operational support tools.

Strong knowledge of ITIL, incident management, problem management, and service operations.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, consulting, facilitation, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently while providing leadership and guidance across multiple technical teams.

Dynatrace Professional Certification or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
