Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor/ Working Foreman to oversee/ run construction projects on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive construction knowledge, and proficiency with industry-standard management and design software. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring project quality, and coordinating with teams to meet project deadlines and specifications. This position will play a critical role in maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the construction process.
Qualified Resume;
- Proven experience in the industry (min 5 years)
- Strong knowledge in excavation techniques, grading, and site preparations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Oversee subcontractors and team members, providing supervision and guidance to maintain productivity
- Valid drivers licence and clean abstract
- Operate and maintain excavation equipment
- Understanding OPSS details and municipal requirements
- Assist in budgeting, cost tracking, and resource allocation to keep projects within financial targets
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients to resolve issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment at all times
Requirements
- Run a team onsite hands on
- Operate and maintain excavation equipment
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
- Manage daily workflow, equipment deployment, material ordering and scheduling
- Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and customers
- Team development, train and mentor crew members
- Identify and resolve construction challenges proactively
- Proven supervising experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of construction management practices
- Extensive construction experience including knowledge of blueprints reading, schematics
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in quality control and project documentation
- Knowledge of budgeting processes related to construction projects
- Construction-related certifications or licenses are preferred but not mandatory
