Hello Speech Developmental Services is a multidisciplinary pediatric practice providing speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, and behaviour consultation services to children and families across the GTA. We support children in homes, schools, childcare settings, community environments, and virtually.
Our team includes Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Behaviour Analysts, Behaviour Therapists, Communicative Disorders Assistants, and Speech-Language Therapy Assistants who work collaboratively to support children and families. We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in a leadership capacity as our Lead Occupational Therapist & Clinical Supervisor.
Position Overview
As the Lead Occupational Therapist & Clinical Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role within Hello Speech. In addition to providing clinical supervision and oversight, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our Occupational Therapy services, support clinician growth, and collaborate with leadership to maintain high-quality, family-centred care across the organization.
This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys mentoring clinicians, reviewing clinical work, supporting professional growth, and helping shape service delivery within a growing interdisciplinary practice.
The position can be structured around your availability and is well suited to an OT seeking flexible contract work with meaningful clinical impact.
This role has the potential to evolve as our Occupational Therapy services continue to grow, making it an excellent opportunity for a clinician interested in leadership, mentorship, program development, and helping shape the future direction of Occupational Therapy services within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs)
- Asses, develop treatment plans, and provide clinical recommendations
- Collaborate with OTAs regarding intervention planning and client progress
- Conduct progress reviews and goal updates
- Conduct live supervision sessions
- Support clinical problem-solving and case consultation
- Ensure services align with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and best practices
- Provide guidance regarding clinical documentation and service delivery
- Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, Behaviour Analysts, and other team members on interdisciplinary cases
- Support the ongoing growth and development of Occupational Therapy services within the organization
Qualifications Required
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Minimum 3 years of pediatric Occupational Therapy experience
- Strong clinical reasoning and knowledge of pediatric development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
Qualifications Preferred
- Previous experience supervising OTAs, students, or other clinicians
- Experience providing mentorship or clinical leadership
- Experience supporting children with developmental disabilities, autism, sensory processing differences, motor challenges, and school participation needs
- Experience working in community, school, home, or private practice settings
