Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CFAA certified, Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic service team. Responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on fire alarm panels, sensors, detectors, and related devices
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprint reading skills
- Interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics to accurately execute system installations
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of fire alarm systems into building infrastructure
- Document all service activities thoroughly in reports and logs, maintaining accurate records of system status and repairs
- Mentor junior technicians by sharing technical expertise in low voltage systems, sensors, and mechanical components
Qualifications
- Must have a valid CFAA Certification.
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician with a strong background in verifcation inspections as well as test inspections of fire alarm systems in accordance to ULC Standards.
- Working knowledge and understanding of ULC S536 and S537 Standards, Ontario Fire Code, and Ontario Building Code.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, electrical wiring, and low voltage systems
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in sensors, detectors, control panels, and fire alarm components
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools necessary for installation and troubleshooting tasks
- Solid understanding of electrical principles related to fire alarm systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and work safely at heights or confined spaces as required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Must have working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and be proficiently able to work with a laptop computer.

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
