Title - Mechanical Assembler
Location -Hamilton, ON
Hours -Morning shift (7am-3:30pm)
Pay Rate - $26.50 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Ability to act as assembly project lead on low to moderate complexity projects.
- Direct work of MO2 assemblers, ensuring quality and taking accountability for low to moderate assembly projects.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, excluding wiring portion independently, as well as Oracle Bill of Materials.
- Adequate computer skills to utilize 3D model viewing software and Microsoft Office products for emailing, e-turnbacks, etc.
- Check parts picked/delivered to parts required. Resolve discrepancies, if any, with supervisor.
- Escalate drawing concerns via appropriate channel.
- Apply consistency in assembly method for units on the same order.
- Clean unit and prepare for testing process.
- Check performance of completed components to ensure compliance to quality standards and make necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
- Use various fixtures, gauges and assembly tools to assemble, adjust or repair product.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical assembly using power tools
- Completed High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance using proper/safe lifting techniques.
Pay: $26.50 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Mechanical assembly: 1 year (required)
- Assembly line: 1 year (required)
